Challenging the universities to be part of the energy transition

The universities in Munich are full of motivated, inspired and determined students who look forward to be part of building a better future. Right now, for Munich, a better future means accelerating the energy transition and building a "city of the future", which should aim for sustainability in every possible way.

TUM for example is renowned for amazing results in international competitions, by teams of students with an ambition above average, who wish to apply their knowledge to build new and better things. All this potential can be brought into play for the benefit of the city of Munich, if the city challenges the universities in Munich to be part of the energy transition. Then, a world of innovative ideas, ambition and creativity can take shape and give new life to the city.

This is achievable by setting clear and common goals for the city, financing university projects that work towards those goals, and challenging the students themselves to come up with new ideas, and help implement them.
